The Quietness Of The Season

I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday.

Gary, Bo and I have been down at our cabin for the last two weeks. We celebrated our anniversary and Christmas in the mountains. We even managed to spend a night in Nashville at the Sheraton. Did you know they are dog friendly? Bo even had a fluffy bed brought up for his stay. There was even a dog park nearby.

It always takes me a couple days to unwind and get used to doing nothing and not looking at the clock and checking things off my list. Once I get into the routine of waking up when I wake up with no alarm, it is almost as time doesn't exist and we just do things at the drop of the moment. I don't think I will ever get tired of the view here. I love looking out at the mountains and being up so near the clouds, one moment everything is still and the next the whispering of the trees among the wind, watching the sun come up over the mountains and on the otherside of the cabin seeing it tuck away for the night. The beauty of the mountains and their strength standing so tall. It all leaves my heart skipping a beat. We have had some beautiful sunny days, some rainy and grey ones, high winds and now light snow.

We will be home in time to celebrate with friends to ring in the New Year.  Until next year wishing you all a Happy New Year and may 2013 be brighter and filled with joy and happiness.

Joyce,
Everyone deserves to honor the quiet of the season for contemplation. It seems our animals know how to do this each day.
Wishing you and all those around you a wonderful New Year.
best,
Patricia

That sounds good. I think the view must be wonderful. And I imagine it very, very quiet. Simply relaxing.

Hello, and happy new year!

I'm a terrible, terrible blogger and after a year of twists and turns (no thanks in part to that nasty Sandy), I am realizing I miss this. I'm not sure I will ever be a regular blogger again, but I can be a regular visitor for sure. I've always been a good house guest. :-)

Here's hoping for lots of love, happiness and health (SO happy to read your last post about your friend!) in 2013.

I am greatly weighed down by your opinions for that specific tale. A additional deeper and staged expertise could well be very fine for me
