I have been spending time on the lake lately, it could be the Pisces in me that draws me to a small or large bay of water. There is something calming and cleansing about the water. The way it catches every reflection nearby is memorizing, leaving me with a sense of peace. Does water do this to you?
We had such a heat wave the last couple of weeks, my poor little
garden is so dry and brittle. We are on a water restriction, so no more watering
the flowers and plants. The good thing is even the weeds have slowed down.
I know I have been gone for the last couple of weeks from here, but decided to take a bit more time off, but I promise to be back soon. I have been and will continue to pop in on Pinterest, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and will continue to stop in and visit your blogs.
Many blessings and golden moments my friends!

Who doesn't love water...I ask??
Glad you are downshifting...and relaxing a bit..
The water is calming....I wish the rains would come and bring the water to the much needed lawns and plants and the forest fires burning still....Enjoy the peace and relax some. xo
Water has been a foundation for me all my life. The one constant in my life as a preacher's kid was Methodist Conference at Lakeside, Ohio on Lake Erie. Lake Erie is my favorite body of water, but any lake will do as far as comforting me and giving me a sense of balance.
The ocean simply awes me and helps me put my life in perspective.
Now when I need some balance I head to Seneca Lake and find a quiet spot to just sit and stare at the water and just let it calm me.
So, yes, I know what you mean.
Take your time and do what you need to do. We'll all be here for you when you return. Thanks for updating us. :>)
I am a water sign too - Cancer ...and yes, water does the same for me. I love it! It is very peaceful and cleansing.
Enjoy your time.~~

Yes it does!
I'm sorry about your garden - we use an ancient water tank that collects from rain and a little spring, and it hardly ever runs dry in the summer.
Enjoy your blog break, Joyce!
Joyce you are a good friend in this time of need. I too find the water very soothing...

Water is directly linked to most of my best ideas - the ocean, the lake, the shower. Even washing dishes. It's a beautiful thing.
Dry here, too. I keep looking up, hoping for rain.
I love and am most at peace when near the Atlantic Ocean- never ever get tired of watching the waves...enjoy your blog break dear friend xo
Sounds like a perfect way to spend summer! Summer is going by way to fast this year!
Joyce-
The water does that to me too. It has such a calming way. We went kayaking on Sunday with a nice cloud cover. We giggled and paddled. It was lots of fun.
