Our typical dinners at home during the spring and summer months, involves a lot of grilling with a side dish or two, some nights we simply have a nice green salad with lots of veggies and some kind of meat for Gary. We share in the cooking and cleaning up, so we can enjoy an evening walk or a run in the park with Bo.
Our family dinners wouldn’t be the same without our Mr. Bojangles having his dinner too. I purchased this sweet "little dinner is served at..." sign, years ago at Anthropologie for our Kelly girl and just kept it up for Bo.
If we are really good, we will sometimes have a special dessert!
Want to see what others are having for dinner, visit Francesca's corner? Thanks Theresa for a great topic!!
Oops, I almost forgot to share a recipe. In the first photo our meal was a burger for Gary, a veggie one for me, baked beans and an old fashion macaroni salad, found HERE.
Thank you for stopping by!
Hugs,
Joyce

Grace isn’t a little prayer you chant before receiving a meal. It’s a way to live.

Hmmmm, that looks like it could be a root beer float.
What a fun post! Mr. Bo has quite the life with you and Gary - so great!
Also, I love the quote about grace. Thank you for sharing.
Yum, I'm hungry! What kind of shake?? Looks like chocolate is involved! :)
I'm sure Mr Bo appreciates the sign too!
Lovely photos! The dessert looks delish:)

What a sweet sign for Bo's mealtime!
I just saw an interesting recipe for some old fashioned baked beans. It will take 6 hours of baking in a slow oven. One of these days I will make it! I enjoy baked beans! It does have meat in it though... xo
I love to grill outside in summer. And a fresh salad.
Your Bo likes the food too much? My Frieda loves her dish too.
And we all love desserts.
Bentley needs a sign like that....maybe I will paint one for him.

Vegggie burgers - one of my favorite meals.
I didn't know Bo was a foster - that's wonderful! Would he like a sister? Noni's a sweetheart :-)
We do a lot of the same kind of cooking as you int he warmer summer months.
And a rootbeer float is my all time favorite dessert! I can't wait til it warms up enough to enjoy one. Thanks for the reminder.

Can't wait to start summer cooking in earnest.
All animals know exactly when dinner time is don't they?
I have been craving burgers all week. I think I am missing iron or something. Love the darling little sign and adore floats. I wished my children liked them. Oh, my husband is a professor. He got a grant to go do research in Europe at a special research institute, so we are going along with him. We leave next Wensday and will be back the end of summer. I will definately take a ton of pictures. Heidelburg is such a pretty city. I can't wait to share it with everyone.
Sounds like our kind of place exactly!

Mmmmm --looks delicious! We've had our first grilled brats of the season, but not the official hamburger---soon, though.
I'll have to try that macaroni salad--the grandkids like macaroni salad but not potato salad.
This was a fun corner view, don't you think?!:>)
Lovely American fare!
now i don't know what's in the cup with the creamy froth. i remember from visiting the states americans do like putting creme on soda, sometimes? this is regular chocolate'n'cream, right? ;)))
on the potato side of things: it's garlic butter and fresh parsley indeed, you've guessed that right, joyce! i'll admit perhaps not for breakfast, but for a morning snack i'd dare to indulge too...
