A couple of weeks ago a group of friends came together to support sweet Lily. She is a second grader with the bluest of blue eyes and angiosarcoma cancer.

The Guardians of the Ribbon came to be part of the event. They are a group of firemen and policemen, that dress in pink and drive a pink fire truck spreading awareness, supporting all women in their fight against cancer.

April with Portrait Creations was on hand to take photos of anyone that wanted a photo in front of the pink truck. Well... you know Mr. Bojangles wanted to do his part.

Have a bright day!

Small towns have a human dimension. I liked the anonymity of cities, but it can be very lonely, especially in times of need. Sending warm thoughts to young Lily.
Even though it is pink I know a little man that would have been all over the firetruck. My sister's 3 yr old loves going to the firestation.
Of course he wanted to do his bit!
I've come to appreciate the slower pace of life around here. Not the gossiping though - hate that.

Wow! that is so cool Joyce!
Nothing is better than having love and support!
Love and light to Lily.
Your little Bo ist great. :)Love to Lily.
what a wonderful group of firefighters, and what a precious and brave little girl...
I love a small town whereby everyone bonds together to help someone in need. It brought tears to my eyes. Those firefighters really went all out to paint their truck and show their love and concern for Lily.
So remarkable the way a community comes together. Prayers for that little girl.
