Corner View: Ring Out The Old, Ring In The New

Welcome back to Corner View. Ringing out the old and ringing in the new, is a cleansing for me in so many ways. One place I start is in the kitchen, I go through the cabinets and refrigerator getting rid of process food and replace with more fresh veggies and fruits.

The holidays are filled with so much food and beverages, I actually look forward to the new year when things slow down a bit and I can focus what is on my plate.

One area I change is my veggies go from dipping in cheese or dips to eating either plain or with a balsamic dressing.

Thank you,  Renee  for this week’s topic. To see more of the old and new visit, Francesca's corner.

Enjoy the new!
Hugs

The quote you posted rings so true in my ears. Do you have a particular book from which you gather these wise words?

I also love to purge the house, and the kitchen was our first place to go to. Out with most of the refined sugar. It's difficult to do once it's in your system, but necessary for better health. Our kitchen is mostly healthy for now, and it feels great. We also donated books we no longer wanted for various reasons. I enjoyed bringing them to the Library, who gives them to people in need. Overall, the house was purged, I light candles everynight, and it all feels right.
Glad to see you again, my friend. Happy New Year to you!

I just stocked up tonight on fresh vegetables and some seeds and nuts for salads. I did opt for Catalina dressing--I need a break from the balsamic.
Good post--good way to start the new year! :>)

Wise choices for an excellent start to 2012!

I never go overboard with food these days - just stick with lots of vegetables, and a modest amount of fruit.

This has not always been the case, though. Live and learn, as they say;-)
