My Weekend To Do List

I have my office waiting to be painted, a garden that needs some attention and a book to finish reading.

Maybe they will get finished, maybe they won't but what I do know is our furry friend, Riley is coming for the weekend and dinner plans with friends.

Sending you big hugs and warm wishes for a great weekend!

Hugs,

Corner View: What's For Lunch

Welcome back to Corner View! I hope everyone had a nice "spring" break.

This week's topic is, "what's for lunch". Lunch is one of those meals I either have a quick bite at home, on the run (i.e. fruit, protein bar, nuts etc...) or meet a friend at a restaurant.

Today, while writing this post and working from home I had a Greek yogurt, granola and berries for lunch.

My friend Tracy asked once, how many times do you go out for lunch? Yes, there are weeks my lunches are multiple times a week, but for the most part I have at least one a week.  Besides, breakfast I like having girlfriend time over a salad or bowl of soup.

Just like the gal above. One of the many things I enjoy is sharing a table with my friends no matter what time of day or night it is. I actually snapped this photo on one of my lunch dates with my friend Catherine. She made us smile to think this will be us some day. (I can't remember if I posted this image before, but she still adds a smile to my day)

Thank you Dorte for this week's topic. To see what our corner view friends are eating for lunch, visit Francesca's corner

Have a golden day my friends!

A Special Gift

Saturday night, Bo wanted to go outside. This is one of those moments I'm glad I was the one to take him out.
The sky was all dressed to celebrate Easter in its fine colors of pink and blue!

Have a golden day my friends.

Imagine

I can't believe last Monday I was thinking we were going from winter to summer. The news peeps are talking snow today. That's OK I will enjoy the moment, snow, rain or sunshine...

and count the days, when I will see my real butterflies in the garden. For now I will just close my eyes and pretend.

Have a golden day my friends!

A New Favorite

With the weather getting warmer and the grills are getting ready for the months ahead.

If you have Ina Garten's cookbook, Back To Basics, give this recipe a try, it will have your guests asking for seconds. This burger is served with caramelized onions on an english muffin with a good mayonnaise. I added cheese, but you really don't have too.

Have a golden weekend my friend!

Corner View: Home

With this week's topic being home, I thought it would be a good time to share with you, something special I plan to do around our home. I first heard of a house blessing HERE.

I will not only bless our home, but put this message in the bottle behind one of our walls, to be discovered someday. You might remember another message in the bottle from HERE

Joan, also shares on her house blessing this beautiful hand-wrought iron cross and box, created by Jan Barboglio. All I need is to find the white sage to burn and I will be all set.

To see more views of home, visit Francesca's corner. Thank you, Don for a wonderful theme. Also, a big thank you to Jessica for the beautiful message in the bottle and Joan for letting me take a page from her book (sharing her idea).

If you have a moment, stop by and visit Joan's corner for the love of a house and take a look around her beautiful home.

Have a golden day my friends.

Winter To Summer, Is It Possible?

Yesterday the weather was unbelievable sunny and warm, most of the day. We are talking 80's! It seems often in my corner, either spring is only here for a short time or we miss it all together and go from winter to summer.

A good boast to wake up some of the flowers after a long winter.
Soon a corner of our garden will look like this! Well, I should say I hope after a long cold winter, I'm never sure what will make it or not.

I hope nature is waking up in your corner.

Have a golden day my friends!
Hugs,

A First For Mr. Bojangles

A couple of weekends ago the weather was beautiful, so we decided to take Bo on his first trip into the city.  First, stop on the way was the drive-thru at Starbucks.  Not only did I get my venti unsweetened Passion ice tea,  but Bo had his first bow wow whip. It was a small cup filled with whip cream. It was the funniest thing to see him eat his little treat. This was one of those moments I should have had my camera.

When we got home, he went into a bag that had his Starbuck’s cup. As you can see by the look in his eyes, he was hoping for a trace of bow wow whip.

While we were downtown, we stopped at the West Elm  store. Did you know they are a dog friendly store? I think Bo’s highlight of shopping was all the attention he was getting.  Overall, Bo had a wonderful first time adventure.  Don't you agree?

I hope your weekend is not only golden, but holds a “first” or two for you!

Hugs,

Corner View: Time

This week's topic, "time" was picked by Dorte

At first, I wasn’t sure how I was going to capture time, because it seems to always be one step ahead of me.
To see more about time visit Francesca’s corner.

April Showers Brings May Flowers

We are right on target in my corner. The month has started off with April 1st having rain, the next day sunshine. This is how the last few days have been here.
The flowers, plants and trees need the rain and sunshine to help them grow. Just like us, we need a few rainy days to make us grow and reach high to enjoy the sunny days ahead.
Wishing you a day full of sunshine.

Have a golden day my friends.
Hugs,
