I haven't ventured out since the big blizzard to see what is happening around me, but I have managed to get a few photos around the yard.
The photo above is the little path I tried to keep open all night for Bo and Riley. But Bo was not going to hear of it, so he tried to go AWOL! Do you see below, that fur ball in the snow? Have you tried to get a crazy 40+ pound dog out of the snow, without falling in the snow yourself?!
Thank goodness for friends, or I would be stuck indoors till Spring. The snow was up to our front doorknob. I should have taken a photo of it, but I kind of freaked a bit when I opened the door, that I immediately shut it. Even the nice little space I was trying to keep clean for the dogs got a bit lost in the night and was creeping up the patio door. I also hear the same was for the garage door. I happened to have my cellphone on me, just in case I need it before help came, as I attempted to shovel (shhh... don't tell Gary about the shoveling).

The photo above I snapped with my phone. It doesn't show just how steep our driveway is, but trust me, ask any of our friends that have been to our home. These guys were sliding and trying to keep their balance, as they were shoveling and snow blowing. Our friend Steve couldn't even get his truck up to plow, because of all the snow, ice and the slant of the driveway. When I sent out a SOS to my friend Gayle around the corner, (she said, she knew I needed help because I never ask for it) she immediately sent over her men to lend a hand.
After being in the house for three days, poor Mr. Bojangles is bored out of his mind. Lucky for Bo, the day after was cold, but beautiful.
He has kept me busy with bringing all that snow in the house.
And driving poor Riley crazy, wanting to play
He even managed to make his own version of a snowman!
Gary never made it home last night, due to a cancelled flight, but I have a feeling, he will be busy with Bo this weekend and paying back a lot of favors.
Thanks, Paula and Gayle for sending your guys over to help a friend in need.
Have a golden weekend my friends!
Hugs,
Joyce
