Corner View: Gardens

This week's corner view topic is gardens and perfect timing since I have been busy out back the last couple of weeks. Well... I should say my friend Catherine has been a busy beaver. She created my little butterfly garden that I have tried to do on my own for the last couple of years.
She started with these colorful impatiens flowers in one corner of the garden, because butterflies love color and we are surrounded by shade from all the trees.

Off to
Pesche's Garden and Greenhouse we went to load up our cars
with flowers and plants to bring in all the butterflies, birds and bees.
This little corner was the only place we could grow grass
I thought it was only for a moment I turned away, but when I turned around

this is what I saw!

A corner filled with color so bright it would make your heart dance. A few days later Gayle, another special friend came by and quietly spread out the mulch. I read somewhere the flower symbolism associated with impatiens is motherly love. How perfect with Mother's Day around the corner.
I have more to share of my garden, but wanted to give you a peek of my colorful confetti corner I see when I'm visiting your blogs or working on my laptop. I also have some fun garden treasures I picked up while out visiting my wonderful friends at The Backdrop too.
All this planting has begun so when I am back from my spa getaway(hospital) as I like to call it. I will be able to set out back and enjoy the view and feel as one with nature during my recovery. I'll share a bit more on this in another post along with other views of my garden.
For now, would you like to take a quiet walk with me as I visit our corner view friend's gardens? List of cv friends is located on the right.
Does anyone have a theme for next week? Don't be shy either leave your ideas in comments or send me an email. I will post the next topic on Friday.
Have a golden day!
Hugs,
Joyce

I love the way Impatiens start out so small and unassuming and then presto.. glorious! What a wonderful spot you have here Joyce.
I bet you will love having small fires~ we really enjoy our little fire-pit! A perfect place to rest and recover. You are in my thoughts and prayers each day.

I have grand plans for my back patio to aspire to the gardens of Jon Carloftis. I am actually aiming for a mod luxe vibe, so a bit of english zen is what I am after. Well, we all need an at home oasis or spa to retreat to....right!

I love that stone birdbath!
I was going to go out in the garden and take new pictures yesterday ( I just started building a new bamboo trellis), but life and weather got in the way. My son lifted his shirt to scratch his stomach yesterday morning and I saw what looked like chicken pox. They were also on both arms when I looked carefully. I took him to the children's clinic and two young doctors looked at him first, then went to get the attending physician. As soon as the attending physician walked into the room, my son starts talking about all the bugs that were biting him while we were cutting bamboo ( something he never told me about). So, he's not sick, he has chigger bites.
By the time we left the Doctor's office, it was raining.
My post about the nesting birds in the garden from Monday will have to do for now.

Lovely garden. . .thank goodness for friends with green thumbs. In my case, it's the neighbor guy who steps in when I err a little. He's a good man.

How about "neighbor" as next week's theme? Or. . . a color, or an abstract noun . . . like "anxiety."

Have a great day!

What a lovely garden - the colours are great. I wish I enjoyed gardening more - I just don't like doing my own - but anyone else's garden.....I enjoy - particularly the weeding!

Oh Joyce I love all the color and I have to say that I just love the idea of pebbles in a garden. Isn't there something great about the word pebbles, the way they feel, and the sound they make trickling out of one's hand. I need to get some pebbles into my garden stat!

I used to have many pots of those flowers when I lived in Michigan; however, they don't do so well here in Georgia. I miss them.
