Happy Friday: Happy Halloween!

This is the weekend of trick or treat. Which do you like?

The clay pumpkins are lit and ready to great the little ones

The bags of treats are ready.

I saw these adorable tiny bags about the size of your palm and I just stamped on the front

Along with each bag a child will get either a whistle or a ring. I like to give non candy items and something that blinks for a couple of reasons. One for the child that can't have candy and because some of our areas don't have sidewalks the blinking item helps to see the little ones at night.

For the friends that get an extra hour of sleep this weekend, don't forget to set your clocks back Saturday night. Ahhhh... now this is the kind of halloween treat I like!

It must be the Pisces in me that has me gravitate to a bay of water big or small. Thinking of water can put me into a surreal and peaceful place

Or it can make me thirsty and crave my daily 8 glasses of water

P.S. Speaking of dreams, my sister recently started a blog and his celebrating her dream that came true 2 years ago, the opening of her little bake shop. She is having a little celebration give a-way.

Roasted Garlic

When cooking, I like to add the flavor of garlic to some of my dishes. My favorite is roasted garlic. I add it to mash potatoes, bread, crackers, apples, scrambled eggs and pasta throughout the week or two.

Garlic has been around for thousands of years not only for cooking, but to improve health issues such as lowering high blood pressure and cholesterol. It has also been used to keep evil spirits and wolves away. So… with Halloween just around the corner it wouldn’t be a bad idea to keep a strand of garlic around your neck.

Roasted Garlic

Ingredients:

5-10 heads of garlic

Olive oil

Salt and pepper to taste

Directions:

Cut the pointed tips off the garlic heads. Place garlic's flat bottoms in a pan. Drizzle your best olive oil over the top of the cut heads, sprinkle salt and pepper to taste. Cover with foil and pop in a 350 degree oven for about 45 minutes, till soft. The last 5 minutes of the baking remove foil to get a deeper rich amber color.

Yesterday White, Today Color

I came home after a long day at my mom's soon to be new home, to a package from across a large bay of water.

from our sweet friend Carmie at C.T.

A couple of weeks ago Carmie had a wonderful give a-way for this beautiful bracelet. I so can't wait for a date night to wear this beauty. I LOVE it!

As I was opening the box I thought this is some heavy bracelet only to find out she has generously included a few other wonderful treasures.

I am all set for my trip to Italy, some day and all of her beauty, this beautiful country has to offer. Carmie thank you so much! A Special Note~

As I mentioned above my mom will be moving to her new home (less than 5 min from her door to ours, compared to an hour drive). With the big move taking place this weekend, I will need to take off a couple of days here until sometime next week. Over the next few days I hope to make my visits to all of your blogs.
